Requirements
In addition to the science log, students must bring a pencil or erasable pen, a highlighter and a separate folder for homework. (Homework will be assigned 2-3 times a week.)
Students are also required to bring their agendas to every class. Failure to comply will result in a 30 minute Friday detention.

Welcome to eighth grade science. We will be quite busy this year with each class period lasting a little over one hour. In order for students to be well organized and in turn academically successful, I require each student to have a Science Log that he/she will leave in the classroom. The Science Log should be in the form of a 1 and 1/2 inch 3-ring binder and supplied by the student. In addition, each student will need 8 dividers a spiral notebook and a homework folder. The Science Log will be used as a portfolio to assess individual work as well as a resource for the student. All students will receive a progress report every other Friday. These progress reports must be signed by a parent/guardian and returned back to class by the following Wednesday. Students who return signed progress reports will receive 2 extra credit points.
